Summary

The SharePoint Developer will help to provide intranet website solutions for Team Venti's clients, using Microsoft SharePoint 2010. This role will develop SharePoint projects for both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be able to able to work both on their own and as part of a bigger team. The successful candidate is expected to have hands-on SharePoint development experience and also be a good communicator who can clearly express and describe code, designs and procedures to a customer. Candidates should be experienced at developing in SharePoint and have some experience of .NETdevelopment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers and Technical Leads to provide task estimates and discuss technical options

• Keep Project Managers and Technical Leads informed of any potential issues as they arise

• Understand and contribute to technical specifications

• Ensure a high quality standard is maintained in the solution developed on the allocated project by following coding and testing practices

 • Will spend some time at a client's site working side by side with the client's development team. Therefore, must be able to communicate well and be able to clearly describe code, design and any procedures that the client needs to understand

• Must be able to clearly document his/her work for others to understand

Requirements

• Ability to work with Project Managers and Technical Leads, keeping them informed of all the problems within the project

• Ability to work with other developers, sharing knowledge between peers and within the general workforce

• A pro-active approach to work tasks, relying on initiative and a wider understanding of the project deliverablesRequirements Essential

• Experience in Object Oriented Programming

• Experience of working with a .Net framework/environment and use of C#

• Implemented Microsoft SharePoint 2010

• Experience in working with HTML/CSS/XML

• Experience of integration projects, integrating with back end legacy systems and other technologies together seamlessly

• Some experience in writing ASP.net and client side scripting

• Experience in developing and deploying SharePoint web partsDesirable

• Experience in using SharePoint Designer and other relevant tools for SharePoint development

• Understanding of UML and other design tools

• Understanding of deployment & change management processes (at code level)

• Understanding and practice of Unit Testing

• Experience with MS SQL server, SSRS and SSAS

• Must be able to work in a remote team environment.
